Chingiz Allahyar oglu Ibrahimli – head of chair of Commerce of Azerbaijan Cooperation University, doctor of philosophy in economics, associate professor.

Chingiz Allahyar oglu Ibrahimli – head of chair of Commerce of Azerbaijan Cooperation University, doctor of philosophy in economics, associate professor.

He was born in 1977 in Mollamharramli village of Fuzuli district. In 1993, he was admitted to the Azerbaijan Cooperation University, and in 1997 he graduated with a bachelor degree, and in 2001 with a master degree in “Commodity Studies” with honors.

He was in active military service from 19.07.1997 to 28.08.1998. Ch. A. Ibrahimli worked as a junior researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences from 11.03.2002 to 25.11.2002.

From 02.12.2002, a junior researcher at the “Center for Geostrategic Research” of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from 01.31.2004, a researcher, and from 01.07.2014 at the “Regional Economic and Social Research Institute” worked as a leading researcher.

In 2003, he was approved as a dissertation candidate at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in 2009, he defended his dissertation at the Institute of Economics of ANAS on “Issues of improving the organization of commercial activity in industrial enterprises (on the example of light industrial enterprises of Azerbaijan)” received.

Since 15.09.2010, he has been teaching at the “State Regulation of Economy” department of ARPYDIA.

From 07.05.2014 to 19.10.2015, he worked in various positions at “AccessBank” JSC.

In 2013-2014, he worked as a 0.5-time senior lecturer at the Department of “Commodity Studies-Expertise” of the Azerbaijan Cooperation University, and from 15.09.2015 at the Department of “Standardization and Technology”.

From 10.03.2016, he served as the head of the “Commerce” department of Azerbaijan Cooperative University, and from 19.04.2016, he was elected to this position.

In 2018, he received the scientific title of docent.

During his scientific and pedagogical activity, a total of 70 works of Ch. A. Ibrahimli were published, including 1 monograph, 1 section in a collective monograph, 2 teaching aids, 2 methodical aids, 13 subject programs, 51 scientific articles and theses.


The chair was established on February 8, 2001 under the name “Commerce and international trade” by order No. 19K. From the time of its creation to 2010. In 2013, the name of the chair was changed to “Commerce”.
Since 2016, Chingiz Allahyar oglu Ibrahimli has been appointed the head of the chair.
Currently, the chair is conducting bachelor’s training in the specialty 050401 – “International trade and logistics”, 050411 – “Commerce” and master’s training in the specialty 060411 – “Commerce”.
In accordance with the plan of scientific research works of Azerbaijan Cooperation University for 2021-2025, the theme of the “Commerce” chair was approved as “Directions of the development of commercial relations in the Republic of Azerbaijan based on digital technologies”.
During 2012-2022, 138 scientific-methodical works, including 6 monographs, 5 textbooks, 2 methodological instructions and 23 subject programs, were published by the employees of the department. 20 scientific works of the department’s employees have been published in foreign countries.
Currently, the chair is preparing 2 textbooks for publication.
