Mammadova Samira Yashar gizi – Head of Doctoral Department of Azerbaijan Cooperation University
She was born on January 26, 1964 in Baku. In 1986 she graduated from the “Economics” faculty of the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemical Institute. In 1988-2002, she worked as a leading engineer at Azerenerji SC. In 2004-2010, she worked as a methodist at Azerbaijan Cooperation University. In 2011-2021, she worked as a senior methodist teacher. In 2009, she defended her thesis on “Economics and Management of the National Economy” at ANAS II and received Doctor of Philosophy in Economics. Currently, she is the head of the Doctoral department of Azerbaijan Cooperation University. She is an associate professor of “Marketing” department.
She is the author of 1 textbook, 2 methodical materials, 22 articles and theses.
She is married and has two children.
About Department
According to the decision No. 2 of the State Scientific and Technical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 17, 2001, a Postgraduate School was established at the Azerbaijan Cooperation University for the training of highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 129 of July 1, 2010, the university operates a doctoral course. According to that decision:
– Doctoral study is carried out on the programs of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Sciences;
– Doctoral education is carried out in full-time (with separation from production) and part-time (without separation from production) forms.
– Higher educational institutions, scientific organizations, and scientific and pedagogical personnel training through doctoral studies are also realized through dissertations.
– Doctoral study is carried out free of charge or on a paid basis.
– The period of full-time study in the Doctor of Philosophy program is 3 years full-time, 4 years part-time, 4 years through dissertation.
– The full-time study period in the doctorate program of the Doctor of Sciences program is 4 years, part-time 5 years, 5 years through dissertation.
In exceptional cases, the duration of education can be extended for all forms of education. The university trains highly qualified scientific-pedagogical personnel in the following specialties.
