He was born on July 16, 1946, in 1964 he graduated from Imishli Secondary School No. 34, in 1970 he graduated from D. Bunyadzade. He graduated from the economics faculty of the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy (now the Azerbaijan State University of Economics).

In the years 1970-1974 (with the exception of 1 year of military service), they lived in the Imishli region named after Hazi Aslanov. worked as a chief accountant in a collective farm. In 1975-1987, he worked in leading positions in the leading industrial enterprises of the Ministry of Meat and Dairy Industry of the republic. From March 1987 until now, he has been working in the Central Union of Cooperatives of Azerbaijan (Azerittifaq) system. Here, he worked as a director in the republican office for meat supply and sale, general director for the supply, processing and sale of agricultural products of the central apparatus, general director in the foreign trade association, and head of the financial and economic department. From August 2011 until now, he is the vice-rector for scientific affairs of Azerbaijan Cooperation University. Having rich financial – accounting production and organizational – management experience, Practitioner-researcher BX Atashov, who has shown great interest in scientific research since his youth, defended his candidacy in 1989 on the development of the meat and dairy industry in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in 2002 defended his doctoral theses on the organizational and management problems of the formation and development of the food complex in the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the relevant decisions of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was given the academic titles of docent and professor. Independently, he is one of the first researchers to study the development of the food complex and food security problems in Azerbaijan. The proposals and recommendations put forward in the doctoral dissertation were carried out in the agrarian department of our republic with the participation of international organizations. it was partially used in pilot projects such as the organization of privatized agricultural enterprises, the development and crediting of agriculture. BXAtashov, who has continued his scientific-pedagogical activity at the Department of Finance of Azerbaijan Cooperation University for a long time, and also closely cooperates with a number of scientific centers, is the author of 6 monographs, 5 textbooks and teaching aids for higher schools, numerous educational programs, methodical instructions and recommendations, more than 110 scientific is the author of the articles. B.X.Atashov, who actively participates in the education and training of young economists, is a member of the Azerbaijan Union of Economists. He is a member of the scientific council of the Azerbaijan Cooperation University and the joint council FD.04.013, which defends the dissertations submitted for the PhD degree, operating under the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University. In 2006-2010, he was a member of the specialized Council that defended the dissertations submitted for receiving the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy and Sciences at the Azerbaijan Scientific-Research Agricultural Economics and Organizational Institute. Under the direct scientific guidance of BXAtashov, who has 30 years of scientific-research and scientific-pedagogical experience, so far 15 applicants have defended their dissertations to receive the Ph.D. degree in economics. At present, 1 person is the scientific advisor of the doctoral candidate, 7 people are scientific supervisors of PhD students and dissertation candidates. The dissertations of 3 of them are about to be defended. He was also the scientific supervisor of more than 30 master’s theses. In addition, he was the official opponent and reviewer of a large number of candidacy (doctor of philosophy) and doctoral theses submitted for defense by other applicants in different years, and participated as a scientific editor and reviewer in the preparation and publication of a number of monographs, textbooks and teaching aids, educational programs. A large number of young scientists, of whom B.X.Atashov was a scientific leader, scientific advisor and opponent, are currently successfully continuing their scientific and pedagogical activities in various prestigious scientific centers of our country. In the past 20 years, he has been the chairman and member of the Final State Attestation Commission of students at the Azerbaijan Cooperation University and Azerbaijan State Agrarian University. As a professor of the Department of Finance, B.X.Atashov, who is deeply familiar with the intricacies of the teaching methodology, always welcomed the lectures and workshops he gave to bachelors and masters on special subjects. As a specialist, he is also involved in the accreditation inspections of the country’s higher education institutions by the Ministry of Education from time to time. His effective activity as the deputy editor-in-chief of the Scientific-Practical Journal of Cooperation, which was the founder of the Azerbaijan Cooperation University and entered into the register of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, should be noted. He regularly presents interesting ideas and proposals in the press, as well as in republican and international scientific-practical conferences, symposia, and seminars held at various levels on the current problems of our country’s economy. He is a winner of the Golden Pen Award. Since January 19, 2010, he has been a member of the management board of Azerittifaq.
In 1970, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, V.I. Jubilee Medal for Labor Valor on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Lenin’s birth, In 2006, by the decision of the fourth meeting of the Council of the Twentieth Convocation of the Azerbaijan Union, he was awarded the title of Excellence of Cooperation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on November 18, 2014, by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the 50th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Cooperation University, he was awarded the Medal of Progress for his services to the development of education in our republic. In consideration of his long-term effective labor and scientific-pedagogical activities in the Azerittifaq system, his services in the training of highly educated specialists and economists, and taking into account the 70th anniversary of his birth, he was awarded the Honorary Cooperator badge by the decision No. 33 of the board of the Azerittifaq dated July 18, 2016. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his birth, he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Scientist by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 4, 2016 for his services to the development of education in Azerbaijan. In 1982-1986, he was a deputy of the Soviets of People’s Deputies of Imishli city and Narimanov district of Baku city.
