Elshan Ali oglu Ibrahimov – Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Azerbaijan Cooperation University, Doctor of Economic Sciences

Ibrahimov Elshan Ali oglu was born in 1976 in the village of Agaggala, Tovuz region. In 1993, after graduating from high school, he entered the Azerbaijan Cooperation Institute, in 1997 he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education, in 1999 he graduated with a master’s degree in “Finance and Credit” and started scientific and pedagogical activity in the same university.
In 2007, at the Institute of Economics of ANAS, he defended his candidate’s thesis on “Ways of increasing the regulatory and stimulating role of the state budget in the development of production” and received the degree of candidate of economic sciences, in 2011 he was awarded the title of associate professor by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. . On June 22, 2022, at the Institute of Economics of ANAS, he defended his dissertation on “Conceptual bases of effective use of financial sources of sustainable development of the economy” in order to receive the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences in Economic Sciences with the specialty 5307.01 “Economic Theory”. Since 1999, E.A.Ibrahimov worked as a laboratory assistant, teacher, head teacher, associate professor at the “Finance” department of Azerbaijan Cooperative University. Since 2010, he has worked as the deputy head of the “Part-time” department, and since 2013 he has been elected to the position of the dean of the “Economics” faculty. He is the author of 1 monograph, 5 textbooks and teaching aids, more than 100 scientific articles, theses and educational programs. He is married and has got 3 children.
