Admission rules for repeated higher education at Azerbaijan Cooperation University for the 2023/2024 academic year

The “Rules” for admission to the Azerbaijan Cooperative University for secondary higher education are based on the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Education”, approved by Resolution No. 163 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 6, 2010 “Content, organization of additional education and education in any direction of education” Issuance of the relevant document to the persons who received it was compiled according to the 5th paragraph of the Decision on the approval of the “Rules” and the Charter of the Azerbaijan Cooperative University.

1. Content and forms of secondary higher education at Azerbaijan Cooperation University:
1.1. At the Azerbaijan Cooperation University, graduates of public and private higher education institutions can receive repeated higher education on the condition that the difference between the initial basic education program and the basic education program of the specialty to be acquired again does not exceed one hour calculated for one academic year. The difference between the programs is determined by the University.
1.2. In order to ensure the flexibility in preparing specialists and the desire of individuals to receive additional specialized education, repeated higher education is carried out on the basis of agreements concluded between the University with the persons who wish to receive this education or with the departments and organizations where they work.
1.3. Those with higher education can get higher education again.
1.4. Repeat higher education can be conducted in the specialties prepared at the University.
1.5. The content of repeated higher education is determined based on the curricula and programs of relevant specialties approved by the University.
1.6. Repeated higher education is carried out on the basis of educational programs developed for the relevant specialty, covering the general and specialized subjects sections of the basic education programs available for the bachelor’s level in the relevant specialty, taking into account the difference between the basic education program of the student and the basic education program of the new specialty.
1.7. Secondary higher education at the Azerbaijan Cooperation University is carried out in full-time and part-time forms, mainly in Azerbaijani and Russian languages (“Finance”, “Economics”, “Translation (English)”).

2. Organization of repeated higher education at Azerbaijan Cooperation University:
2.1. The admission rules for repeated higher education and the number of students to be admitted for relevant specialties are determined by the university, taking into account the existing material and technical base and scientific and pedagogical potential.
2.2. Repeat higher education at Azerbaijan Cooperation University is carried out in relevant faculties for certain specialties.
2.3. The number of students in relevant academic groups at the university is 15-30 people.
2.4. If the content of the subjects learned in the basic program of the specialty he previously received corresponds to the content of any subject included in the educational program of the additional specialty he wants to receive, the student is exempted from training and certification in those subjects.
2.5. If the number of students admitted to individual specialties is small, those students can continue their education together with students studying in existing academic groups based on the curricula of the respective specialties.
2.6. Examining the documents of persons who have applied for repeated higher education at the Azerbaijan Cooperation University and their admission to the relevant specialty, course and educational form is formalized by the rector’s order based on the joint presentation of the vice-rectors for Academic Affairs and General Affairs, as well as the head of the Education Department.
2.7. Those who successfully complete their higher education on the basis of the program and curriculum of repeated higher education are awarded a bachelor’s degree and a diploma of higher education.

3. Funding of repeated higher education at the university:
3.1. Repeated higher education at the Azerbaijan Cooperation University is carried out only on a paid basis (without allocation of funds from the state budget), and the corresponding financial costs are paid by the organization where the staff works or by the staff themselves. In this case, the amount of payment for education is paid in accordance with the tuition fee of students studying in the specialty, course and form of education to which the students are admitted.

4. Those who wish to repeat higher education should submit the following documents:
– Application in the name of the rector of the university;
– A notarized copy of the document (diploma) on higher education (together with the diploma supplement);
– Reference from the workplace (if working);
– 6 photos measuring 3×4 cm;
– Copy of identity card;
– Obligation contract to pay tuition fees.

5. Documents for obtaining repeated higher education are accepted from June 10 to September 10, 2023.

6. Student admission to repeat higher education should be completed by September 15.

7. An announcement is made on the website of the University for repeated higher education.

Note: People who received higher education in foreign countries after 1993 can receive higher education again at the University only after their diplomas are recognized by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Repeated higher education is carried out in paid form on the basis of individual contracts concluded between enterprises, organizations, administrations and individual citizens and Azerbaijan Cooperation University. Repeated higher education is carried out on the basis of the relevant educational programs, covering general and specialized subjects in the basic educational programs available for the bachelor’s level of the relevant specialty, taking into account the difference between the basic educational program of the student and the basic educational program of the new specialty.

Those who wish to repeat higher education should submit the following documents.
-Application in the name of the Rector
– Notarized copy of the document on higher education (diploma and its supplement)
– 6 photographs measuring 3×4 cm
– ID card speed
– Obligation contract to pay tuition fees

Graduates of 2023 can submit a temporary certificate instead of a diploma.
Graduates of foreign higher education institutions must submit a certificate issued by the Ministry of Science and Education about the recognition and equivalence of the qualifications they received in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Note: Documents are accepted from June 10 to September 10 (except holidays) in person or online (AKU 1964@mail.ru) from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the main building (room No. 205) .
Education is conducted mainly in the Azerbaijani language, full-time and part-time. The tuition fee is paid according to the individual qualifications based on the contract.
Graduates who have successfully completed their studies are awarded a bachelor’s degree and a diploma of higher education.
